Discussion

Summary

Senior engineer who designs, provisions, and automates a global bare metal server fleet for a company building its own alternative-to-AWS infrastructure. Day to day: OS deployment and fleet tooling (MaaS, Ansible, Terraform), deep Linux/hardware/network troubleshooting, using Python/Go/Bash, serving low-latency needs of gaming clients.

Confidential | Global Infrastructure Unicorn-in-making. Our client builds and runs their OWN global infrastructure - not on top of AWS, they ARE the alternative. Thousands of servers, custom automation, built for performance.

Why This Role Is Exciting:

What You Will Own:

  • Architect and maintain large-scale bare metal fleet - provisioning, lifecycle, automation
  • Build tooling for OS deployment, hardware monitoring, and fleet management (think MaaS, Ansible, Terraform)
  • Troubleshoot deep Linux, hardware, and network issues across global PoPs
  • Work on projects that directly impact latency and performance for top gaming companies

Who You Are:

  • 5-8+ years in Bare Metal / Data Center Infrastructure / SRE
  • Deep Linux expert, PXE, IPMI/iDRAC, RAID, hardware diagnostics
  • Strong in Python / Go / Bash for automation
  • Experience with large fleets (500+ servers)
