Salary: $900 - $1050 p.d.

Senior Integration Developer (Contract)

• 6-month contract (with potential extension or permanent opportunity)
• Melbourne CBD / Docklands (on-site) - 3 days per week on site
• 40 hours per week

Build the integrations that keep critical business systems running smoothly. In this senior role, you'll support and delivery of high-impact platform and application enhancement bringing strong engineering rigour, pragmatic architecture thinking, and a quality-first mindset to every release.

Overview

We're seeking a Senior Integration Developer to support, and continuous improvement of assigned enterprise applications within target architecture. You'll provide technical leadership across solution design, code quality, integration strategy, and release delivery working closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into robust technical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Support complex features, custom applications, and integrations across major enterprise platforms.
• Provide architectural guidance: patterns, feasibility, and technical decision-making support.
• Design, build, and maintain secure integrations and APIs (including REST and SOAP) across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Drive code quality through peer reviews, testing guidance, and standards adherence.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks through optimisation of code, queries, and configurations.
• Mentor and support other developers through coaching and knowledge sharing.
• Own change and release delivery for your assigned application(s), including documentation and handover to support teams.
• Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, and delivery leads to shape solutions and contribute to longer-term roadmap planning.

Must-Have

• 8+ years' experience in software development.
• Hands-on experience with one or more enterprise platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Salesforce, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft/Power Platform).
• Must have strong integration experience, including API design and system-to-system connectivity (REST/SOAP, JSON/XML). Boomi is preferred.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
• ESB/middleware experience and familiarity with event-driven or message-queue architectures.
