Position Summary
PCI Professional Services is seeking a Senior Intelligence Analyst to lead the development of comprehensive open-source and multi-intelligence research products addressing counternarcotics, transnational criminal organizations, trafficking networks, illegal mining, threat finance, and other illicit activities affecting the USSOUTHCOM area of responsibility. The Senior Intelligence Analyst will transform complex information from publicly and commercially available sources into clear, well-supported intelligence findings for Government decision-makers. The position requires leadership skills and strong intelligence writing, structured analytic tradecraft, regional or mission expertise, and the ability to integrate geospatial information and visual products into finished intelligence reports.
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as Lead Analyst for assigned monthly and on-demand intelligence reports.
  • Review Government tasking and develop research plans, analytic approaches, production schedules, and supporting information requirements.
  • Conduct comprehensive open-source and multi-source research focused on counternarcotics and converging illicit activities in the USSOUTHCOM region.
  • Evaluate source reliability, identify information gaps, reconcile conflicting reporting, and clearly communicate analytic confidence and limitations.
  • Apply Intelligence Community analytic tradecraft standards, including ICD 203 and applicable sourcing requirements under ICD 206.
  • Produce clear, concise, data-driven intelligence reports supported by verifiable sources, endnotes, URLs, and confidence assessments.
  • Integrate geospatial information, annotated maps, charts, graphs, infographics, and other visual aids into finished products.
  • Collaborate with GEOINT analysts to ensure geospatial data and structured datasets accurately support analytic findings and are suitable for integration into Government systems.
  • Coordinate the work of contributing analysts, researchers, and technical personnel while maintaining accountability for report quality and schedule.
  • Conduct peer reviews of other intelligence products for accuracy, analytic rigor, sourcing, consistency, and compliance.
  • Brief analytic findings, emerging trends, research recommendations, and production status to Government and contractor stakeholders.
  • Recommend timely report topics based on mission priorities, regional developments, intelligence gaps, and emerging threats.
  • Participate in internal production meetings and Government Technical Exchange Meetings as required.
  • Incorporate Government feedback and support correction and resubmission of deliverables within required timelines.
  • Handle CUI, publicly available information, commercially available information, and U.S. person information in accordance with applicable NGA, DoD, IC, privacy, and security requirements.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in intelligence studies, international relations, political science, geography, national security, criminal justice, data analytics, or a related discipline.
  • At least 8 years of relevant intelligence analysis, defense intelligence, law enforcement intelligence, operational planning, or national security experience.
  • Demonstrated experience researching, drafting, reviewing, and delivering finished intelligence reports or executive-level analytic products.
  • Experience applying structured analytic techniques and Intelligence Community analytic tradecraft standards.
  • Strong understanding of the intelligence cycle and multi-source intelligence integration.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess source credibility, document analytic judgments, and communicate confidence and information gaps.
  • Experience conducting open-source intelligence research using publicly and commercially available information.
  • Ability to lead multiple contributors and manage complex analytic products from tasking through final delivery.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, briefing, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with intelligence analysts, GEOINT professionals, data specialists, editors, technical personnel, and Government stakeholders.
  • Active Top Secret personnel security clearance and eligibility for favorable SCI adjudication.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Ten or more years of intelligence analysis or closely related operational experience.
  • Experience supporting NGA, USSOUTHCOM, a Combatant Command, DIA, or another Intelligence Community organization.
  • Knowledge of Latin America, the Caribbean, or the USSOUTHCOM area of responsibility.
  • Experience analyzing counternarcotics, transnational organized crime, terrorism, trafficking networks, threat finance, illicit mining, or regional security issues.
  • Familiarity with GEOINT workflows, GIS data, ArcGIS, structured geospatial datasets, or location-based analysis.
  • Experience supporting senior defense leaders, policymakers, commanders, or executive-level customers.
  • Experience supervising or mentoring multidisciplinary analytic teams.
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Enhanced Domain Awareness, Maven Smart System, or SAFEHOUSE.
  • Intelligence writing, critical thinking, structured analysis, counterterrorism, network analysis, or regional studies training.
