Senior Interior Designer (Commercial Office Fit-Out)
About the Role
Our client is an established workplace design and build consultancy specialising in corporate office interiors, with an award-winning portfolio across Singapore and the region.
They are seeking a Senior Interior Designer to lead the design of large-scale office spaces, from the first client brief through to the completed workplace. You will shape the concept, present your proposals and work closely with project and technical teams to carry the design through construction.
This is a hands-on design role for someone who enjoys both the creative and practical sides of a project—developing a strong design direction, working through the details and seeing the finished space take shape.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design process for corporate office projects, translating client briefs into layouts and concepts that reflect their brand, working practices and operational needs.
- Develop space plans, mood boards, material and finish selections, and design presentations.
- Present proposals to clients, explain design recommendations and refine designs in response to feedback.
- Prepare and review detailed drawings and design documentation to communicate requirements clearly for implementation.
- Coordinate with project managers, consultants, M&E engineers and contractors to integrate design and technical requirements.
- Resolve design-related issues during fit-out works and ensure the agreed design intent is maintained on site.
- Plan and manage design deliverables across projects, while guiding junior designers and reviewing their work.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture or a related discipline.
- At least six years of experience in commercial workplace interior design, with a portfolio demonstrating corporate office projects.
- Strong conceptual design, space planning and detailing skills.
- A practical understanding of interior construction and fit-out processes, with experience supporting projects through to completion.
- Confidence presenting ideas, discussing design decisions with clients and coordinating with project teams.
- Ability to manage competing project deadlines without compromising design quality.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Office.
