About the Opportunity We are looking for an experienced iOS Developer to join a high-performing delivery team supporting a major banking client and working on large-scale, customer-facing mobile applications.

This is a permanent Wellington-based opportunity where you will contribute to the development of secure, scalable and reliable mobile products within a complex, regulated banking environment.

You will work closely with product, design, engineering and testing teams to build and enhance mobile features, with a strong focus on application quality, performance and security.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Design, develop and maintain high-quality iOS applications using Swift
  • Build and enhance mobile features that provide seamless and secure customer experiences
  • Collaborate with product, UX/UI, backend engineering and QA teams
  • Integrate RESTful APIs and backend services
  • Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to development standards and best practices
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across production and test environments
  • Support secure coding, compliance and regulatory requirements within a banking environment
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices
  • Help continuously improve application performance, reliability and quality
What We're Looking For
  • Proven commercial experience as an iOS Developer, Mobile Developer or Mobile Engineer
  • Strong hands-on experience with Swift
  • Experience with iOS frameworks such as UIKit, SwiftUI, Core Data and Combine
  • Good understanding of mobile architecture patterns such as MVC, MVVM or VIPER
  • Experience integrating RESTful APIs and working with JSON
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD and Agile delivery environments
  • Experience with automated testing, including XCTest or similar unit/UI testing frameworks
  • Strong understanding of application quality, performance and maintainability
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative delivery team
Nice to Have
  • Previous experience within banking or financial services
  • Experience with Objective-C
  • Knowledge of secure mobile development and secure coding practices
