Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior iOS Developer to join a cross‑disciplinary team responsible for evolving and enhancing card‑related experiences within the ABN AMRO mobile app. You will be the sole iOS developer in the team, contributing to requirement refinement, implementation of pending changes, and ensuring card functionalities remain compliant, future‑proof, and aligned with strategic objectives.

This assignment focuses on delivering high‑quality native iOS features, improving legacy components, and supporting compliance‑driven changes required by external stakeholders. You will also collaborate with the wider iOS Guild, sharing best practices and contributing to continuous improvement across the developer community.

The team follows SCRUM and embraces a DevOps mindset, emphasizing autonomy, craftsmanship, and knowledge sharing.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain native iOS features using Swift.
• Modernize and refactor legacy Objective‑C code, ensuring accessibility compliance.
• Collaborate proactively with product owners, designers, and backend engineers to refine future functionalities.
• Ensure card‑related features meet compliance requirements and external regulatory changes.
• Contribute to Guild activities, sharing knowledge and improving engineering standards across teams.
• Work independently within a cross‑functional team, driving technical decisions and ensuring high‑quality delivery.
• Support continuous improvement through code reviews, architectural discussions, and DevOps practices.

Must‑Have Skills

• 8+ years of professional iOS development experience.
• Expert knowledge of Swift, iOS frameworks, and native app development.
• Strong experience with UIKit and SwiftUI layouts.
• Ability to work effectively within a large developer community.
• Proactive communication and productive collaboration style.
• Ability to work independently without guidance.
• Hands-on experience with VIP Clean Architecture.
• Strong understanding of accessibility and interface design principles.
• Ability to refactor and modernize Objective‑C codebases.
