Hiring: Senior iOS Test Automation Engineer / XCUI Framework Owner

We are looking for a Senior iOS Test Automation Engineer to own and evolve the XCUITest/XCUI automation framework for a iOS application environment.

This is a framework engineering role, not a traditional QA automation position. The ideal candidate will be hands-on with Swift and iOS development, build and enhance automation tooling, integrate testing into CI/CD, and serve as a technical champion for mobile quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Own, design, and continuously improve the XCUITest/XCUI automation framework

• Build custom automation tools, utilities, and reusable components

• Develop automation features and integrate them with CI/CD pipelines

• Work hands-on with the Swift/iOS application codebase for inspection and debugging

• Improve framework scalability, reliability, execution speed, and maintainability

• Collaborate with Android automation teams using Espresso to align automation solutions

• Champion quality, accessibility, and automation best practices

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the broader iOS engineering team

Required Skills

• Strong Swift development experience

• Extensive hands-on experience with XCUITest / XCUI / XCTest

• Strong Xcode experience

• Proven experience designing, developing, or owning test automation frameworks

• Fastlane

• Python scripting

• GitLab CI/CD

• Strong understanding of iOS application development and debugging

Nice to Have

• AWS Device Farm experience

• iOS accessibility/accessibility testing knowledge

• JIRA / Atlassian tools

• Experience with Android Espresso or cross-platform mobile automation

• Experience mentoring engineers or serving as a technical automation lead

A senior engineer who can act as a technical anchor for iOS test automation — someone who can build and evolve the framework, develop tooling around it, solve complex automation challenges, and collaborate closely with iOS and Android engineering teams.
