Senior IT Engineer – AI Security Support (M&E Construction Firm) – 5 Days | West

Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day IT technical support to employees, troubleshooting hardware, software, network and system-related issues.

• Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals and other office IT equipment.

• Perform network troubleshooting and administration, including LAN, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, switches and connectivity issues.

• Assist with Sophos Firewall administration, configuration and troubleshooting, as well as Microsoft Active Directory management, including user accounts, password resets, access permissions and Group Policy.

• Support Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365 applications, including installation, configuration and troubleshooting.

• Coordinate with external IT vendors on equipment procurement, installation, repairs, warranty claims and maintenance services.

• Manage IT equipment setup, deployment and inventory, as well as employee onboarding and offboarding from an IT perspective.

• Provide remote IT support to employees, including hybrid-working staff, and conduct on-site support when required.

• Assist in implementing and maintaining AI security policies and guidelines, supporting the secure adoption of Generative AI tools such as ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot.

• Identify potential AI-related security risks, including confidential data leakage, unauthorised AI usage and misuse of AI applications, and assist with appropriate security controls.

• Maintain IT and AI security documentation, usage guidelines and employee awareness materials, while keeping updated on emerging security risks and best practices.

• Coordinate with external IT security vendors or consultants on technical issues, AI security assessments and other IT-related matters.
  

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline.

• Relevant experience in IT support, helpdesk, desktop support or IT infrastructure operations.

• Good knowledge of Windows desktop and laptop troubleshooting, hardware maintenance and Microsoft 365 applications.

• Exposure to Generative AI tools and AI security governance would be an advantage.

• Willing to provide occasional on-site IT support when required.
