Senior IT & Information Security Specialist
Salary: $35,000 – $40,000 per month
Job Overview:
Our client, a company in the energy sector, is seeking a hands-on R&D Specialist (ISO 27001) to support its internal IT operations and maintain its ISO 27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS).
The key focus of this role is coordinating the company’s annual ISO 27001 audit. The successful candidate will also support AWS and server operations, with a particular emphasis on backup management.
Responsibilities:
· Coordinate preparation for the annual ISO 27001 audit, including maintaining relevant documentation, records and evidence.
· Maintain and review ISMS policies, procedures, risk assessments and control documentation.
· Liaise with auditors and internal stakeholders, and follow up on audit findings and corrective actions.
· Support day-to-day internal IT operations, including server management, user access and cybersecurity controls.
· Monitor and maintain AWS services and server backup arrangements.
· Support backup, recovery and disaster-recovery processes.
· Coordinate with external IT service providers and vendors as needed.
· Provide general operational support to the R&D team when required.
Requirements:
· Practical experience maintaining an ISO 27001 ISMS and preparing for or supporting external audits is essential.
· Hands-on experience with IT operations, server management and cybersecurity.
· Familiarity with AWS and server backup environments.
· Strong documentation, coordination and follow-up skills.
· Able to work independently and manage audit-related tasks carefully.
· Relevant qualifications are welcome but not essential; practical experience is the priority.
· ISO 27001, AWS or cybersecurity certifications are an advantage.
