Senior IT Product Owner
We are seeking an analytical, proactive, and high-energy Senior IT Product Owner to lead the lifecycle of our complex Data Products. This role demands a unique hybrid professional who combines strategic product ownership with deep business analysis roots. You will bridge the gap between complex data infrastructure and high-value business insights, serving as the definitive "first source of knowledge" for our development team. Operating in a fast-paced, cross-cultural, and multi-timezone agile environment, you will be responsible for navigating conflicting stakeholder priorities and ensuring robust, incremental value delivery.
- Professional Seniority:
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience working as an IT Product Owner.
- At least 5 years of foundational experience working as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst, proving deep technical and requirement engineering roots.
- Proven Data Portfolio: A track record of leading, developing, and launching at least 3 distinct Data Products from inception to release.
- International Exposure: Direct experience managing products and collaborating with cross-functional teams within international, cross-cultural, and multi-timezone environments.
- Data Domain Technical Literacy: Practical, hands-on experience and structural understanding of:
- Data Visualization Tools: e.g., Tableau (preferable), PowerBI.
- Data Warehousing / Infrastructure Concepts: e.g., SQL, Snowflake.
- End-to-End Data Flow Literacy: Deep understanding of data lifecycles—specifically how data is ingested, processed through backend pipelines, transformed via upstream calculations, and ultimately served to frontend visual layers.
- Granular Requirement Engineering: Proven ability to translate high-level business vision (Epics/Features) into highly detailed, unambiguous User Stories with precise data-mapping logic and strict, testable Acceptance Criteria.
- Engineering Interface: Experience working in tight alignment with both Backend and Frontend developers to architect data flows and user-facing dashboards.
- Incremental Data Delivery Mindset: Strong understanding of how to build, test, and release data products incrementally (MVPs) rather than trying to deliver massive, unverified datasets all at once.
- Advanced Prioritization Frameworks: Mastery of data-driven prioritization techniques (e.g., WSJF, MoSCoW, Opportunity Scoring) to successfully manage roadmaps in highly unpredictable or shifting environments.
- Scrum Experience: Proven experience participating in Scrum events and driving complex refinement processes with Developers and Stakeholders.
- Scaled Agile Experience: Proven experience participating in and driving complex agile planning events, such as PI (Program Increment) Planning within a SAFe or scaled framework.
- Hands-on Jira Proficiency: Complete fluency in Jira, including advanced backlog management, sprint configuration, velocity tracking, and agile metric reporting.
- Conflict Resolution: Proven capability to navigate, negotiate, and resolve mutually exclusive stakeholder priorities by deep-diving into data details rather than staying on the surface.
- Evidence-Based Commitments: Strong, assertive decision-making skills with the discipline to make delivery commitments based strictly on backlog health, team velocity, and data validation—never on assumptions.
- Relationship Building: Exceptional ability to maintain transparent, high-trust, and collaborative relationships with diverse, global business stakeholders.
- Proactive Ownership & Drive: A "hands-on" mindset with a strong sense of accountability; actively takes responsibility to unblock the development team when needed.
- Project Management Foundation: A strong background or understanding of project management principles (risk mitigation, dependency tracking, timeline management) to help navigate complex delivery dependencies.
- Certifications (Nice to Have)
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO).
- SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) certification
