Stampede Solution is seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to join our dynamic team in Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial strategic role in overseeing complex IT initiatives and ensuring their successful delivery. As Senior IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading high-impact projects that align with our organisational objectives, managing stakeholder expectations, and driving operational excellence across our technology portfolio. Key responsibilities
Plan, initiate, and execute large-scale IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in consultation with senior leadership and key stakeholders
Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, risk management strategies, and contingency measures
Lead and mentor project teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring clear communication across all team members and external partners
Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement corrective actions to keep initiatives on track
Manage stakeholder relationships and provide regular updates to senior management on project status, budget, and performance metrics
Oversee vendor and contractor management, ensuring service level agreements are met and performance standards are maintained
Document project methodologies, lessons learned, and best practices to support continuous improvement and organisational knowledge
Manage IT project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure optimal allocation of financial and human resources
Facilitate change management processes to ensure smooth transitions and user adoption of new systems and technologies
What we're looking for
Minimum 8+ years of experience in IT project management, with substantial experience leading complex, multi-disciplinary projects in large organisations
Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), PRINCE2, or equivalent recognised qualification
Proven expertise in project management methodologies, including both traditional waterfall and agile approaches
Strong understanding of IT systems, infrastructure, applications, and technology landscapes
Demonstrated ability to manage large budgets and control project costs effectively
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams, manage conflicts, and foster a collaborative environment
Strong stakeholder management capabilities and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as MS Project, Jira, Asana, or similar platforms
Experience with risk management, vendor management, and contractual negotiations
Problem-solving mindset with strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
