As a Senior business Consultant, you will be responsible for gathering, discussion, consolidation, and transformation of business requirements into either clear requirements or user stories for developers. You will play major role in the software development projects managed either with waterfall or agile (SCRUM) methodology. You will be fully responsible to manage requirements as well as helping with adoption or even leading a new trend (not only) in Requirements gathering area. It is expected that you will be sharing your knowledge and experiences with junior colleagues via coaching sessions. You should be able to explain used techniques and methodology to non-technical business colleagues and clients.
Our projects deliver IT solutions to our DHL Global Forwarding & Freight customers from the different parts of the world hence advanced communication skills in English are required.
Key responsibilities:
- Pre-project initiation – Prepare and consolidate requirements including effort estimation for the (future) project team based on business requirements. Closely cooperate with Project Manager and present approach to deliver the project.
- Project Planning and Management – Help to organize definition of the project scope, create, and maintain requirements in Jira/Confluence/RTC tools while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value; organize and lead requirements clarification meetings; helping to manage risks, issues and external dependencies; manage changing requirements by delivering delta effort.
- Inside and outside project communication – Build a strong relationship via regular communication within the development team as well as project stakeholders, support project business counterpart using advanced communication and presentation skills. Reports to project and team management.
- Requirements management – Facilitating DGFF colleagues as well as project team members in their day-to-day work, removing any unclarity in requested functionality.
- Documentation management – Manage or supervise documentation creation at any time of project (development documentation, product documentation, etc.)
- Maintenance of development management tools (Jira, Confluence) – Regularly update the status of delivered and/or clarified requirements (user stories) in RTC/Jira and Confluence tools, manage accesses and configuration, drive the requirements visibility and transparency in any point of project cycle.
- Data model and product principal management – prepare or cooperate on data model creation or extension; cooperate on selection used technologies, used library used methodology. Be able to describe them to businesspeople or customers.
- Directly contribute to internal trainings relevant for consultants to align on terminology and methods used in ITS
Ready to embark on the journey? Here’s what we are looking for:
- Advanced spoken and written EN communications skills (level B2 (Upper-Intermediate)/C1 (Advanced))
- University degree in any field (preferred is computer science or business administration)
- Strong experience with MS Office usage (especially DOC, XLS, PPT, MPP)
- Practical experience & knowledge of Agile project management (SCRUM method)
- Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
- Strong negotiating skills & emotional intelligence
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Ability to understand and cooperate on UX/UI; ability to prepare at minimum low fidelity wireframes for parts of UI.
- Skills to use AI tools and agents to work in a more efficient way
