Senior Java Backend Developer
Location: Kraków, Poland
Work Model: Hybrid — 3 days per week in the office
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Backend Developer to join a technology team in Kraków.
The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of professional experience in backend development, with strong expertise in Core Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
You will work on enterprise-scale applications, contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of scalable and reliable backend solutions within a modern technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Core Java and Spring Boot.
Build and enhance REST APIs and microservices.
Work with relational databases, including PostgreSQL and Oracle.
Develop and deploy containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
Work with Azure cloud services and Unix-based environments.
Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions.
Troubleshoot issues and ensure application performance, stability, and maintainability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
Participate in code reviews and follow software development best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
10+ years of professional software development experience.
Strong knowledge of Core Java.
Hands-on experience with Spring Boot.
Solid experience developing microservices.
Experience with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL and/or Oracle.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Practical experience with Microsoft Azure.
Experience working in Unix/Linux environments.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Good communication skills in English.
Nice to Have
Experience with Sybase databases.
Experience in enterprise-scale application development.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
