Build Java backend services and REST APIs at OpenText while supporting scalable, stable digital asset management platforms. This role is designed for senior developers.
As a senior backend developer, you will work with OpenText’s Digital Media team on enterprise Digital Asset Management solutions. The work spans Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and agile software development. You will help deliver software that runs in cloud and on-premise environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and extend Java backend services and REST APIs
- Implement software features using agile methodologies
- Collaborate with developers to enhance software architecture
- Build scalable, high-performing, robust software and reusable libraries
- Perform code reviews and troubleshoot client issues
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science or engineering
- Around three or more years of professional Java development
- Hands-on Java and Spring Boot experience
- RESTful APIs and relational database experience
- Familiarity with Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud environments
