Senior Java Backend Developer Remote 12 + Months Contract W2 Only - No C2C /Corp to Corp **About the Role** Optime-Tech LLC is seeking a Senior Java Backend Developer to join our team in a remote US-based position. This role is ideal for an experienced backend engineer who enjoys building reliable, scalable applications and working with modern Java technologies. **Responsibilities** * Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java. * Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services. * Develop clean, maintainable, and well-tested production-quality code. * Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application and production issues. * Collaborate with developers, product stakeholders, and other technical teams. * Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives. * Contribute to application performance, reliability, scalability, and security. * Follow established software development and Agile practices. **Qualifications & Skills** * Strong professional experience developing backend applications with Java. * Strong knowledge of Spring/Spring Boot and backend application development. * Experience developing and integrating REST APIs. * Experience with microservices and distributed application architectures. * Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL. * Experience with software development best practices, debugging, testing, and version control. * Strong problem-solving and communication skills. * Ability to work effectively in a remote environment. **Interview Process** Please note: Candidates selected to move forward may be required to participate in an in-person interview as part of the hiring process.
