Note: We are looking for a strong hands-on backend engineer with deep expertise in Java fundamentals, Spring, databases, messaging, and CI/CD— not someone whose experience is primarily focused on architecture or system design.
Job Summary
We are seeking a hands-on Senior Java Backend Developer with strong experience building enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, relational databases, messaging platforms, and CI/CD pipelines. This role requires someone who actively develops backend features, writes production-quality code, and solves complex technical problems. Candidates with primarily architecture or design-focused experience without recent hands-on coding are not a fit.
Required Skills
- 8+ years of hands‑on backend development experience
- Strong expertise in Core Java (Java 11/17+)
- Solid understanding of Collections, Streams, JVM, Design Patterns, Exception Handling
- Strong knowledge of Concurrency & Multithreading (Runnable, Callable, Executor Framework, Future, CompletableFuture)
- Extensive experience with the Spring Ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security)
- Experience developing RESTful APIs and Microservices
- Strong SQL skills with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server)
- Hands‑on experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or JMS
- Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, Docker, and CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.)
- Strong debugging, performance tuning, and production support experience
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and REST APIs.
- Build high-quality, maintainable Java applications using Spring Boot.
- Develop event‑driven solutions using messaging platforms.
- Optimize database queries and application performance.
- Participate in code reviews and troubleshoot production issues.
