Senior Java Backend Engineer – Integrations at BairesDev
In this role, you'll write backend Java services that power integrations with external systems, applying strong API design and event-driven synchronization patterns. Handling OAuth and multi-tenant permissioning, you'll build the authentication and authorization logic that keeps connectors secure across many tenants. What You'll Do:
- Develop Java backend services powering API and system integrations, including REST, webhooks, and event-driven sync.
- Implement OAuth and multi-tenant permissioning and authentication logic.
- Build ETL pipelines including connectors, parsers, and schema normalization.
- Develop integrations with platforms such as M365, Outlook, Teams, Slack, or iManage.
- Ensure connector reliability through contract testing, versioning, and regression coverage.
What we are looking for:
- 5+ years of experience in backend software engineering.
- Strong proficiency in Java.
- Deep experience with API and systems integration, including REST, webhooks, and event-driven sync.
- Experience with OAuth and multi-tenant permissioning/auth flows.
- Background with ETL and data pipelines, including connectors, parsers, and schema normalization.
- Experience integrating with platforms such as M365, Outlook, Teams, Slack, or iManage.
- Experience with QA, contract testing, and connector reliability including versioning and regression across integrations.
- Advanced proficiency in English.
Nice to have:
- Experience with AWS, including Lambda, SQS/SNS, and S3 for integration workloads.
- Familiarity with MCP or agentic tool integration.
- Experience with Bedrock.
- Background using Java for core platform interfacing or SDK connectors.
- Legal tech or eDiscovery domain exposure.
