Senior Java Backend Engineer — IoT & AI Platform

AIknow s.r.l. in Lombardy seeks a Senior Backend Developer with strong Java experience to design, develop and maintain scalable server-side applications for IoT and AI projects.

You will collaborate with the frontend team and contribute to robust RESTful APIs and microservices. The role requires at least 5 years of Java backend work, expertise in Spring Boot and Hibernate, PostgreSQL and InfluxDB, and strong Italian and English communication.

Design, develop and maintain backend applications in Java. Collaborate with front-end team to ensure seamless integration. Implement and manage RESTful APIs and microservices. Optimize performance and ensure reliability. Write clean, well-documented code and participate in code reviews. Manage deployment and releases via CI/CD pipelines. At least 5 years’ experience in backend Java development. Deep knowledge of Spring (Boot) and Hibernate. Experience with PostgreSQL and time-series databases (InfluxDB). Knowledge of GitLab for version control and collaboration. Good understanding of OO design and design patterns. Strong problem-solving and communication skills in Italian and English.
