Summary
A senior engineer designs, builds, and maintains Java/Spring Boot microservices for banking and financial services applications, including REST and gRPC services running on Kubernetes with Oracle-backed data and Cucumber-based automated testing. Requires 10+ years of development experience and fluency in English and Polish, on-site in Kraków.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer to join a team working on modern, distributed applications within the banking and financial services sector.
You will be involved in developing and maintaining scalable microservices-based solutions, working closely with other developers and technical teams. The role combines backend development with elements of full-stack work and requires strong experience with Java, Spring Boot and modern cloud-native technologies.
You will
- Design, develop and maintain Java-based applications and microservices
- Build and integrate REST and gRPC services
- Work with Spring Boot and modern Java technologies
- Develop and maintain applications running in Kubernetes
- Work with relational databases, preferably Oracle
- Participate in automated testing using Cucumber
- Collaborate with other developers and technical teams to deliver reliable and scalable solutions
- Contribute to technical design and continuous improvement of the application architecture
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a distributed environment
Must have
- 10+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong commercial experience with Java
- Very good knowledge of Spring Boot
- Experience with microservices architecture
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Good knowledge of SQL
- Experience with Maven
- Previous experience in banking or financial services
- Experience with automated testing, preferably Cucumber
- Good understanding of distributed systems and modern software development practices
- Fluent English and Polish
Nice to have
- Experience with Oracle
