Senior Java Developer

Summary

Build and maintain web apps using Java, Spring Boot, and Angular; lead features, design APIs, and collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD and Guidewire platform.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of frontend and backend features across the full technology stack
  • Develop scalable web applications using Angular, Java, and Spring Boot
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs, ensuring reliable integration between systems
  • Participate in architectural decisions and technical leadership within the team
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and environment stability
  • Work with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Analyze and resolve complex defects, ensuring application stability and security
  • Actively maintain and expand knowledge in Java ecosystem and best practices and willingness to learn new technologies with focus on Guidewire
  • Continuously develop expertise in Gosu and Guidewire (GW) platform

Qualifications

  • Around 4 years of experience as a Java developer
  • Strong hands‑on experience with Spring and Spring Boot
  • 2+ years of experience in frontend technologies (Angular, TypeScript, RxJS)
  • Solid understanding of REST API design and microservices architecture
  • Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB
  • Familiarity with DevOps processes and tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins)
  • Knowledge of build and testing tools (Maven, JUnit)
  • Understanding of event‑driven architecture (e.g., Kafka is a plus)
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in Agile teams
  • Experience in insurance projects or industry is a strong advantage
