Senior Java Developer - Contractor Role
Summary
Designs and develops Java-based web solutions for complex business problems, collaborating with stakeholders to deliver high-quality APIs and applications.
This is a 6 month rolling long-term contract position.
As a Senior Java Developer your main responsibilities will involve:
- Responsible for designing and developing web based Java solutions to help solve complex business problems
- Work closely with business users, business analysts and development colleagues to best in class solutions
As a Senior Java Developer your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
- Comprehensive knowledge of modern Java ecosystem
- 6+ years' (minimum) commercial Java experience
- Experience building web applications and APIs using Java frameworks such as Spring
- Strong relational database/SQL experience
- Practical experience working with containerized applications - Docker/Kubernetes
- Practical experience writing unit and integration tests
- Strong written and oral communication skills
