Senior Java Developer - Credit Risk Technology, Vice President
In this Senior Java Developer role, you will lead and implement advanced applications within Citi’s Derivatives Credit Risk Technology Team. You’ll own complex software delivery across the full SDLC, collaborating with a global team to build risk analytics that inform regulatory and business decisions. You’ll shape architecture and engineering practices while adopting new technologies to scale risk processing for large data sets. This is a hands-on, impact-driven role with potential for leadership as you contribute to core margin, exposure, and risk metrics work in capital markets.
Responsibilities- Deliver end-to-end software projects across design, development, testing and deployment
- Provide technical leadership on projects within a broader team of engineers
- Ensure designs follow architectural patterns and standards
- Develop and promote coding, testing, debugging and productionization standards
- Collaborate with a global team of engineers, business analysts, dev-ops and support staff
- Advance risk processing software infrastructure by adopting new technologies within Citi guidelines
- Build bespoke tools for risk and capital exposure analysis on large data sets
- Mentor mid-level and junior developers and analysts
- Assess risk and ensure compliance with laws, policies and ethical standards
- Core Java with OO design and concurrent programming expertise
- Experience in Capital Markets domain; derivatives knowledge advantageous
- Experience with Agile and test-driven development
- Understanding of Java internals (class loading, memory management)
- Ability to build sophisticated tooling for development and production teams
- Experience re-engineering large monoliths to microservices (nice to have)
- Tableau or equivalent data analytics tool (nice to have)
