Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Java Tech Lead to lead a development team and drive the design, development, and delivery of scalable enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and REST APIs, along with proven technical leadership capabilities.

The candidate should also promote AI-first development practices, leveraging AI tools to improve coding efficiency, debugging, testing, refactoring, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and provide technical guidance to development team members.
• Drive technical design, development, and implementation of scalable applications using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
• Promote AI-assisted development practices across coding, debugging, testing, refactoring, and documentation.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, architectural principles, and security best practices.
• Oversee REST API and microservices development, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Identify and resolve technical dependencies, blockers, and complex development challenges.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, QA teams, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Evaluate AI-generated code for correctness, security, maintainability, and production readiness.
• Ensure timely delivery and effective coordination within the development team.

Mandatory Skills

• 9–12 years of hands-on experience in Java development, including technical leadership and team mentoring.
• Strong proficiency in Core Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
• Experience in RESTful APIs and Microservices Architecture.
• Strong understanding of design patterns, software architecture, and clean coding practices.
• Experience with code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and application performance optimization.
• Practical exposure to AI-assisted development methodologies and AI-powered software engineering.
• Proven ability to lead developers, resolve complex technical issues, and drive project delivery.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Hands-on experience with GitHub Copilot for AI-assisted coding, code completion, test generation, and refactoring.
• Experience with Claude or similar AI assistants for code analysis, debugging, and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering and context-driven code generation.
• Experience with Git-based version control and collaborative development workflows.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and cloud-native application development.
• Strong team coordination skills and ability to consistently meet delivery timelines.

Educational Qualification

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
