Summary:
The Senior Java Developer role is focused on enhancing the software development processes within the organization, specifically targeting candidates who have substantial practical experience. The primary objective is to develop and deploy high-quality backend applications leveraging advanced technologies, particularly Kafka.
Responsibilities:
Building, testing, and deploying software using standard CI/CD pipelines.
Developing microservices for data processing, database interaction, and application data exposure.
Applying architectural patterns suitable for event-based data streaming and web services.
Ensuring logs are created, easily understandable, integrated with the logging platform, and setting up necessary alerts.
Testing software focusing on functionality, quality, fault tolerance, performance, and scalability.
Integrating security features like federated authentication and role-based access control.
Participating in a guild for backend developers to exchange knowledge and best practices across teams.
Key Requirements:
10+ years of relevant experience
Expertise in Kafka, specifically Confluent Kafka (KStreams etc.)
Strong knowledge of Java for backend applications
Familiarity with MongoDB Atlas and PostgreSQL
Kafka Certification
Nice to Have:
Experience with OIDC, OAuth2, SAML for authentication
Knowledge of Docker for containerization
Familiarity with Kubernetes for container orchestration
Experience with the ELK stack for logging, monitoring, and alerting
