Senior Java Developer

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver scalable software systems that support business priorities and meet established engineering expectations
• Contribute practical recommendations during architecture reviews to help shape the technical direction of active initiatives
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and business partners to deliver high-quality work within agreed timeframes
• Evaluate code contributions from peers and provide constructive guidance that promotes maintainable development practices
• Investigate complex software problems, identify their causes, and implement effective long-term fixes
• Support junior developers through mentoring, technical coaching, and regular knowledge sharing
• Participate in delivery planning by clarifying scope, estimating effort, and identifying project dependencies
• Follow relevant technology developments and introduce useful practices into the team’s working methods
• Maintain technical documentation covering important implementation decisions and development processes
• Partner with stakeholders to clarify requirements and confirm that delivered solutions fulfill agreed objectives

Requirements

• At least three years of professional experience in software development or a closely related technical field
• Applied knowledge of AI tools and frameworks that can improve system design and engineering workflows
• Strong understanding of Java Core concepts and object-oriented programming principles
• Hands-on experience using Java 8 features in production software development
• Ability to create and support backend services with Spring Boot
• Experience working with cloud applications or infrastructure in Microsoft Azure
• Familiarity with AWS services for hosting, deploying, and managing cloud-based applications
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices for automating integration, testing, and release workflows
• Proficiency in SQL for querying, organizing, and maintaining relational data
• Experience designing distributed applications using microservices architecture patterns
• Practical skills in building RESTful services and integrating REST-based endpoints
• Understanding of unit testing approaches for verifying behavior and preserving code quality
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases used in Java application environments
• English proficiency at B2 level or above for effective workplace communication
