Senior Java Developer

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver scalable software solutions that address business priorities while meeting high engineering standards
• Contribute technical recommendations during architecture reviews to influence the direction of active initiatives
• Work with product, business, and engineering teams to deliver quality outcomes within agreed delivery schedules
• Review colleagues’ code changes and provide constructive feedback that promotes maintainable implementation
• Investigate complex engineering issues, identify their root causes, and implement sustainable fixes
• Mentor junior developers by sharing practical expertise and supporting their technical development
• Participate in planning activities by clarifying requirements, evaluating scope, and contributing effort estimates
• Follow emerging technology developments and introduce useful practices into the team’s workflow
• Document system decisions, implementation methods, and technical processes to support future maintenance
• Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify priorities and ensure completed solutions meet agreed expectations

Requirements

• At least three years of professional experience in software engineering or a related technical field
• Working knowledge of AI concepts and tools that can strengthen application design and delivery practices
• Strong understanding of Java Core functionality and object-oriented programming principles
• Hands-on experience applying Java 8 features in production development environments
• Ability to build and maintain backend services using Spring Boot
• Experience working with cloud applications or infrastructure in Microsoft Azure
• Familiarity with AWS services for cloud deployments and environment administration
• Knowledge of CI/CD workflows for automating integration, testing, and software releases
• Proficiency in SQL for querying, managing, and maintaining relational data
• Experience designing distributed applications based on microservices architecture patterns
• Practical experience developing REST APIs and integrating REST-based services
• Knowledge of unit testing approaches for verifying functionality and maintaining code reliability
• Familiarity with NoSQL database technologies used in Java-based systems
• English proficiency at B2 level or above for effective professional collaboration
