Senior Java Developer

Our growing engineering group is looking for a Senior Java Developer with a solid background in artificial intelligence. Responsibilities

• Build durable software solutions that balance operational needs with well-structured engineering design
• Provide informed input in architecture reviews to help establish the technical approach for ongoing work
• Partner with specialists across multiple functions to deliver high-quality outcomes within planned timeframes
• Conduct peer code reviews and recommend improvements that uphold engineering conventions and long-term maintainability
• Analyze difficult development problems and carry remediation efforts through to successful resolution
• Share experience with junior colleagues to strengthen their skills, autonomy, and technical confidence
• Join project-planning activities to assess complexity, outline deliverables, and forecast implementation effort
• Follow changes in the technology landscape and incorporate useful innovations into team practices
• Document system rationale, development procedures, and important implementation decisions for sustainable codebase support
• Collaborate directly with business contacts to set clear goals and validate delivery against agreed requirements

Requirements

• Three or more years of relevant hands-on experience in professional software development
• Applied understanding of AI concepts and development tools used to improve system architecture and delivery methods
• Advanced command of Java Core principles and object-oriented programming methodology
• Practical experience using Java 8 language functionality to develop production-ready applications
• Strong Spring Boot capability for implementing and supporting backend services
• Experience working with applications, services, or infrastructure hosted in Microsoft Azure
• Familiarity with AWS capabilities for deploying and managing cloud-based solutions
• Working knowledge of CI/CD automation for reliable build, validation, and release processes
• Competence in SQL for organizing, accessing, and managing relational information
• Track record of designing distributed applications with a microservices-based approach
• Experience creating REST interfaces and integrating applications through RESTful communication
• Proficiency in unit testing practices that maintain dependable and high-quality code
• Exposure to NoSQL database solutions appropriate for Java-based development
• B2-level English or higher for clear written and verbal collaboration
