Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Java Engineer to join our core backend team. This role focuses on building and optimizing resilient distributed systems that handle large-scale data processing. You will work on the architectural level to ensure system reliability and efficient resource utilization, driving technical excellence across our backend infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable backend services using Java and modern distributed architecture.
  • Optimize system performance by identifying bottlenecks in asynchronous processing, memory management, and data persistence.
  • Collaborate with the team to architect solutions that ensure high availability and system consistency.
  • Maintain high code quality through rigorous testing, code reviews, and technical documentation.
  • Develop and maintain secure data handling protocols and system integrity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of Java development experience, with deep knowledge of JVM internals (e.g., Memory Model, Garbage Collection).
  • Proven experience in Distributed Systems (e.g., knowledge of data partitioning, synchronization, or consistency models).
  • Solid understanding of multithreaded programming and asynchronous I/O models.
  • Familiarity with network communication (e.g., socket programming) and high-performance storage engines.
  • Basic understanding of data security and encryption principles is an advantage.
  • Experience with open-source system architecture or large-scale backend infrastructure.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude toward technical challenges.
