Senior Java Developer
Summary
Builds cloud-native Java microservices on SAP BTP for a multi-tenant rental solution integrated with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud using Spring Boot and REST APIs.
We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to join our product team developing a cutting-edge rental solution on the SAP BTP Cloud Platform.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing and developing scalable cloud services, working closely with architects, functional analysts, and product owners to deliver a modern side‑by‑side extension solution integrated with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud.
What you will do:
- Design and develop cloud‑native backend services using Java on the SAP BTP platform
- Contribute to the architecture and development of our multi‑tenant rental solution running on SAP BTP
- Develop scalable APIs and microservices for integration with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud and other SAP services
- Collaborate closely with Functional Analysts, Product Owners, and Frontend Developers to implement product features
- Ensure high‑quality code through code reviews, testing, and best development practices
- Support integration scenarios using REST APIs, SAP Integration Suite, and Event‑driven architectures
- Contribute to performance optimization, security, and scalability of cloud services
- Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to technical decision‑making
What we’re looking for:
- Strong experience in Java backend development (Spring Boot or similar frameworks)
- Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices architectures
- Solid understanding of cloud‑native application development concepts
- Experience with database technologies (SQL / NoSQL)
- Experience with Git‑based development workflows
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical thinking skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively within cross‑functional teams
- Fluent in English
Nice to have:
- Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
- Experience with SAP CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model)
- Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud integration concepts
- Experience with SAP Integration Suite, Event Mesh, or messaging architectures
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, container‑based development, and cloud deployment models
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, and DevOps tools
