Who We're Looking For
We are looking for a Senior Java Backend Developer to join an international banking environment, working on the development and evolution of Java-based applications and distributed systems. The role involves developing robust backend solutions, contributing to architectural decisions and driving the evolution of scalable and resilient systems.
Professional Experience & Main Tasks
- Develop and maintain backend applications using Java.
- Design and implement robust, scalable and resilient solutions using Java, Spring and Struts.
- Develop and evolve microservices-based architectures and distributed systems.
- Work with Kafka and event-driven architectures.
- Contribute to technical and architectural decisions, ensuring the quality and scalability of solutions.
- Analyse existing systems and identify opportunities for technical improvements and optimisation.
- Lead the development and implementation of complex backend functionalities.
- Collaborate with technical teams to define solutions and ensure alignment with the overall application architecture.
- Support the continuous evolution, modernisation and improvement of existing applications.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and contribute to ensuring performance, scalability and reliability.
- Share knowledge and provide technical guidance to other developers when required.
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in Java backend development.
- Strong experience with Java, Spring and Struts.
- Strong knowledge of Kafka and distributed systems.
- Strong experience with microservices architectures.
- Good understanding of scalable, resilient and high-availability architectures.
- Experience with software architecture and technical design.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical solutions.
- Previous experience in banking or financial services is a plus.
