Senior Java Developer (Java 8/17)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize Java microservices and REST APIs for high-volume consumer experiences.

• Implement event-driven integrations using Kafka; champion resilient, concurrent processing.

• Own end-to-end delivery: technical design, coding, testing, deployment, and production reliability.

• Drive code quality via reviews, standards, and documentation; mentor teammates.

• Implement data access/integration across legacy and enterprise systems (e.g., XML/SOA/REST) where needed.

• Collaborate with Product/Architecture to plan roadmaps and scale distributed systems.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of professional Java experience (Java 8/17), Spring Boot, and RESTful services.

• Strong multithreading/concurrency, performance tuning, and profiling skills.

• Experience in high-load processing development.

• Experience designing APIs for speed and efficiency, with scalable and distributed architecture.

• Experience with Kafka (streams/consumer groups), CI/CD, and unit/integration testing.

• RDBMS experience (DB2/Oracle/PostgreSQL) and strong SQL expertise.

• AWS fundamentals for building and operating cloud services.

• BS in CS/IT or related field (minimum).

• Bonus: Hibernate/JPA, security best practices, and observability (logs/metrics/traces).

Nice-to-Have Extras

• Messaging patterns, schema versioning, and data migration experience.

• Experience hardening services for high throughput and low latency.

• Familiarity with front-end stacks (React) for cross-functional collaboration.
