Project description

Join a global technology team responsible for developing and supporting high-performance market-data and trading platforms across EMEA and the US. The project focuses on low-latency distribution of real-time market data from more than 70 proprietary direct feeds, including US Options markets. The platform operates in a performance-critical Linux environment and requires efficient network programming, kernel-bypass technologies, and continuous JVM and application tuning. The team supports complex market-data workflows involving Denali, MPAC, Beacon, Refinitiv ETA, etc., while ensuring alignment with relevant market structures and regulatory requirements, including MiFID II.

Responsibilities

  • - Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, low-latency applications using Core Java. - Perform JVM profiling and tuning, including garbage collection, memory, thread, CPU, and latency analysis. - Develop and optimize low-latency network components and kernel-bypass solutions. - Integrate and support proprietary direct feeds and market-data distribution protocols across EMEA and US Options markets. - Identify performance bottlenecks and improve application throughput, latency, and resource utilization. - Investigate production incidents, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes. - Support deployment and production processes within Linux environments. - Collaborate with global development, infrastructure, support, and business teams to deliver reliable market-data solutions.

SKILLS

Must have

  • - 8+ years of hands-on software development experience, with strong expertise in Core Java and performance-critical systems. - Proven experience with JVM profiling and performance tuning, including garbage collection, memory, thread, CPU, and latency optimization. - Strong Linux development and troubleshooting experience in production environments. - Experience designing and developing low-latency, high-throughput, mission-critical applications. - Strong knowledge of low-latency network programming, including TCP/IP, sockets, efficient data processing, and kernel-bypass technologies. - Working knowledge of C++, particularly in performance-sensitive environments. - Experience with real-time market-data or electronic-trading platforms, including direct feeds, distribution protocols, and exchange connectivity. - Strong performance analysis, troubleshooting, and production-support capabilities, with the ability to identify bottlenecks and perform root-cause analysis.

Nice to have

- Knowledge of MiFID II market structure and experience with EMEA or US Options market-data feeds. - Familiarity with Refinitiv ETA or similar real-time market-data distribution protocols. - Advanced knowledge of hardware-aware performance optimization, including CPU caches, NUMA, memory hierarchy, and NIC tuning. - Experience with packet capture, network diagnostics, benchmarking, and observability tools. - Advanced C++ performance optimization experience in low-latency or high-throughput environments.
