Job Title: Senior Java Developer

Job Summary: In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate closely with our team, product managers, and cross-functional units to design and deliver new features for Digital Sharjah’s smart application and website.
2. Engage with clients and service providers to gather and align technical requirements.
3. Architect, develop, and optimize high-performance, scalable back-end systems using Java and Spring Boot.
4. Develop and manage robust Oracle databases and applications, ensuring seamless integration and strong security practices.
5. Design and implement effective APIs, focusing on security and maintainability.
6. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code while proactively debugging and resolving software issues.
7. Stay current with emerging tools, technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related field.
2. 5+ years of experience as a software engineer, with advanced proficiency in Java and Spring frameworks.
3. Hands-on experience with Oracle databases, including database design and performance optimization.
4. Deep understanding of software engineering principles—Algorithms, Data Structures, OOP, Design Patterns, and Software Architecture.
5. Solid experience with SOAP and REST web services, including API security (JWT, Spring Security, OAuth2).
6. Proficient in version control systems such as Git and BitBucket.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong teamwork and leadership abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Familiarity with Oracle Weblogic, Apache Tomcat, and Oracle Fusion Middleware technologies (OSB, Oracle BPM, Oracle UCM).
2. Knowledge of SOA and microservices architecture and development on Linux systems.
3. Understanding of encryption/decryption algorithms such as RSA and AES.
