Senior Java Developer

As a Senior Java Developer, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of customized software for a European public sector client, focusing on secure, scalable tax administration solutions. You will work within a 20+ person project team to deliver end-to-end components, integrations, and testing while supporting CI/CD and roadmaps. The role combines hands-on engineering with collaboration across stakeholders to ensure predictable delivery. • Implement software components according to design specifications
• Perform system integration and testing, troubleshoot issues, and resolve them
• Conduct unit testing of software components
• Assist in estimating project efforts and delivery timelines
• Collaborate with teammates and stakeholders to ensure efficient project progress
• Provide technical input into product roadmaps
• Participate in triage activities for incident analysis and prioritization

• 6+ years of Java development experience
• Strong experience with Spring Framework and Quarkus
• Understanding of microservices architecture and containers (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL or other RDBMS)
• Experience with REST/SOAP integrations and messaging (Kafka, ActiveMQ)
• Good understanding of testing principles
• Ability to communicate confidently in English
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with stakeholders and distributed teams
