Senior Java Developer Remote Hybrid
We are hiring a Senior Java Software Engineer to join our team in Madrid and work on an international project for a leading Swiss private banking organization currently undergoing a major digital transformation.

You will join an international engineering team responsible for building, enhancing and maintaining business-critical applications used across a global banking environment.
This role offers the opportunity to work on enterprise-scale solutions, complex business processes and modern application development practices within a highly collaborative Agile environment.
You will collaborate closely with software engineers, architects, analysts and business stakeholders, contributing to the design and development of solutions that support key business operations.
We are looking for a Senior Java Engineer passionate about software development, enterprise solutions and continuous learning.
We value professionals with strong backend development experience who are interested in expanding their expertise in business process automation and workflow technologies.
Minimum 5 years of experience developing enterprise applications using Java
Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming principles and software design patterns
Experience working with relational databases, especially Oracle
Strong SQL knowledge and ability to write efficient queries
Experience working in Linux environments
Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON and XML
Experience with Git and modern software development practices
Understanding of software architecture and application lifecycle management
Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, SAFe or similar)
Fluent English (mandatory)
Experience with enterprise application servers such as JBoss, WebLogic or Tomcat
Knowledge of Elasticsearch
Frontend experience with React, JavaScript, HTML or CSS
Experience within banking, financial xqbhyrx services or highly regulated industries
DevOps mindset and CI/CD exposure
Develop and maintain enterprise applications using Java technologies
Participate in the analysis, design and implementation of new functionalities
Support deployments, releases and production improvements
Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives
Hybrid model: 3 days onsite in Madrid + 2 days remote
