Are you an experienced Java Engineer with a passion for building mission-critical applications in the financial services industry? We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to join a leading project in Zurich, Switzerland. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-performance trade order management applications while collaborating with architects, business stakeholders, and Agile teams.
Your Responsibilities:
- Develop and enhance enterprise-grade Trade Order Management applications using Java.
- Design and implement new features aligned with enterprise architecture.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Create and execute integration test cases.
- Support production deployments, monitoring, and incident resolution.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years of hands-on Java application development experience.
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices.
- Experience with Kubernetes and Docker container platforms.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, Harbor, Octopus Deploy, or similar tools.
- Experience with Apache Kafka or other event-streaming platforms.
- Good understanding of software architecture and solution design.
- Experience writing integration tests and supporting production environments.
- Financial services experience in Trading, Trade Order Management, Trade Settlement, Capital Markets, AML, Market Risk, or related domains.
- Experience working in Agile/SAFe environments (SAFe certification is an advantage).
