Senior Java Developer / System Analyst
Summary
Senior backend Java developer / system analyst working through TEKsystems for a client running large-scale system enhancements and revamps. Day to day: design, build and maintain Java Spring Boot applications and microservices, integrate with React front ends, fix bottlenecks, and support code reviews for junior developers in an agile team.
Salary: $45,000 – $65,000 per month
Our client is engaged in large-scale development projects, focusing on system enhancements, system revamps, and the integration of new technologies such as Java Spring Boot, React JS and microservices. They are seeking a strong Backend Engineer to join their team. This role will involve hands-on development as well as coordinating with junior developers to support code reviews. The team operates within agile methodologies and adheres to best project management practices.
Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled Backend Engineer who is passionate about building high-quality systems. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in backend development and will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust applications.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain Java applications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
Ensure optimal performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in information systems, computer science, or related field.
Preferably with 3-5 years (for Senior AP) / 6+ years (for SA) of experience in system design and development, RESTFUL APIs, web service and microservices.
Solid experience in J2EE multi-tier / Microservices architecture, Restful API, Oracle DB, Java applications Framework such as Spring Boot would be an advantage;
Experience with JIRA/Agile deployment approach, Devops architecture and AWS / Azure cloud development/deployment is an advantage;
Experience in IT/ Finance/ Government projects is a significant advantage.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent spoken and written communication skills in both English and Chinese.
Candidate with Architect experience will be consider as Solutions Architect
