About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of scalable, secure enterprise applications. You will be responsible for building robust backend services using Java and Spring Boot while crafting responsive web frontends.
Key Responsibilities
- Backend & API Engineering: Design, build, and maintain high-throughput microservices and REST/SOAP APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
- Frontend Development: Build responsive, modular, and integrated user interfaces using React JS, Angular, or modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Database & Data Management: Architect database schemas, optimize queries for relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL/Oracle), and handle efficient JSON/XML serialization.
- System Architecture & Security: Apply clean architecture and design patterns. Implement enterprise-grade encryption (AES, RSA, TLS) and secure HTTP/HTTPS communication protocols.
- DevOps & CI/CD: Establish automated CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) and oversee zero-downtime production deployments.
- Quality & Testing: Maintain high code quality through unit and integration testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito).
- Collaboration & Leadership: Partner with cross-functional teams (Product, QA, DevOps) and mentor junior developers in coding best practices.
Core Qualifications
- Total Experience: 6+ years of hands-on software development experience.
- Java & Spring Expertise: 6+ years specializing in Java (Java 11+) along with advanced knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security, and Spring Cloud.
- Frontend Experience: Minimum 3+ years of hands-on frontend development experience using React JS, Angular, or similar modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Communication: Fluent and effective verbal and written English communication skills.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
Technical Skills & Competencies
- Architecture: Strong mastery of Microservices Architecture, Design Patterns (Singleton, Factory, Observer), and secure REST/SOAP APIs.
- Databases: Hands-on experience with Relational Databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL); exposure to NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra) is a plus.
- DevOps & Cloud: Proficiency with Git, CI/CD tools, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
- Security & Protocols: Deep understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, methods, status codes, and security mechanisms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Docker containerization and Kubernetes orchestration.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
