Senior Java Developer- TVO
Summary
Senior Java developer building a TV Ordering (TVO) application — a web application whose pages render on a TV box — letting customers order TV options and manage set-top box upgrades. Day-to-day work spans Java, Spring, Hibernate, JSP/Thymeleaf, GraphQL and REST/SOA services, Oracle PL/SQL, and DevOps activities with Maven, Jenkins, Tomcat/WebSphere and Nagios in Agile squads.
We are looking for an experienced TVO Developer to work on a TV Ordering application that enables customers to order selected TV options and manage TV box upgrades directly through their television.
The application is essentially a web application whose pages are rendered on a TV box.
- Develop and maintain application components using Java, JavaScript, Spring and Hibernate
- Work with JSP, Thymeleaf, GraphQL, RESTful Web Services and SOA Web Services
- Work with Oracle Database and PL/SQL
- Support build, deployment and release activities using tools such as Maven, Jenkins, GitHub, Apache Tomcat and IBM WebSphere
- Work in a DevOps mode, with increasing involvement in the operational and release activities of the components owned by the team
- Collaborate within Agile squads alongside a Product Owner (PO) and Scrum Master (SM)
- Use monitoring tools such as Nagios
- Currently, the role does not require on-call support outside business hours. However, this may change in the future, and candidates should be willing to participate if required

Experience: 10+ years
Preferred Background: Candidates from product-based companies with experience working in a DevOps and Agile environment.
