What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain backend services using Java, Spring Boot and Spring Security.
- Design and implement microservices and event-driven architectures using Confluent Kafka.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins and shell scripting.
- Develop and execute unit, integration and performance tests.
- Monitor, troubleshoot and optimise applications using modern observability tools.
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.
- Strong commercial experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- Hands‑on experience designing and developing microservices.
- Practical experience with Kafka and event-driven architectures.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD, with experience using Jenkins and/or GitHub Actions.
- Experience working with PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced engineering environment.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of Spring Security and secure coding practices.
- Experience with Gatling and/or JMeter for performance testing.
- Familiarity with New Relic and Grafana for monitoring and observability.
- Experience with shell scripting and automation.
