Position Description:The best version of us starts with You!We CGI looking for a highly motivated Senior Full Stack Engineer to be part of its dynamic, globally distributed team of IT professionals responsible for the development and maintenance of Digital Shared Services platform.As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will use innovative technologies to provide first class digital experience for our clients and customers. You will be involved in building or enhancing business capabilities in client's workplace business domain. In an agile structure, you will collaborate with other technology and business teams to establish our development standards, be part of strategic decisions and build solutions across business capabilities.This position is located on-site in Lafayette, LA (Preferred), Bloomfield, CT, Raleigh, NC or in a Hybrid working Model.Your future duties and responsibilities:Building scalable, server-side enterprise applications, domain logic intensive RESTful APIsRe platforming large applicationsDesigning, developing and maintaining high volume transactional systemsDeveloping cloud neutral applications in AWS and AzureDebug through legacy systems, C++ & COM, and capture current state to aid with modernizationDebug through legacy systems and capture current state to aid with modernizationParticipate in and contributes to formal reviews of architecture, design and codePublish clear, concise and thorough design documentationProvide support for software releases into production environmentsFoster teamwork and collaboration across global development teams, business and systems partners.Experience leading and mentoring a team of developers
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:At least 8+ years of Software Development experience on business critical, enterprise-wide applicationsStrong knowledge of Java coding practices for mid-tier applications that perform business logic and calculations.Experience developing skills in Java, Spring MVC, Spring Core, Spring BootExperience with designing and developing RESTful APIsExperience in design patterns & principles such as SOA, Microservices etc.Experience with developing different design patternsExperience developing software utilizing relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server or Sybase)Experience developing software applications with Popular IDEs (Eclipse/IntelliJ), GraphQLExperience with Source Control Systems such as GITExperience with CICD Azure DevOps and Jenkins.An understanding of Microservices Architecture and domain driven design patternsDeveloping and deploying 12 factors, containerized (Docker, Kubernetes) API's to AWS/AzureCollaboration with producer and consumer teams to implement end to end solutions in a customer obsessedExperience with Test automation for unit, functional and non-functional testing (SOATEST, SOASTA, Cucumber)Ability to develop technical artifacts based on analysis of business and systems requirementsAptitude to discover/document implementations from legacy systems, C++, Java., .NET, as part of re platform.Desired QualificationsKnowledge of the current technologies and evolving trendsAbility to quickly learn new concepts and technologiesExperience with Agile and Scrum Methodologies is preferred.Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.Skills:JenkinsGraphQLJavaRESTful (Rest-APIs)Spring BootSQLAmazon Web Services CloudAzureAzure CloudMicroservicesSpring Batch
