Senior Java Full Stack / Microservices Developer - Global Markets & Capital Markets

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Java Full Stack / Microservices Developer to design and develop mission-critical applications supporting Global Markets, Capital Markets and Financial Markets businesses. The role requires strong hands‑on expertise in Java 21, Spring Boot, Microservices and Full Stack development, combined with a good understanding of financial markets, trading platforms and front‑to‑back trade processing. The successful candidate will work closely with Traders, Sales, Structurers, Product Control, Risk, Operations and Technology teams to build and enhance high-performance applications supporting trading and financial markets activities. This is a hands‑on engineering role covering new product development, platform modernization, integration, application enhancements and production support.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performance applications using Java 21, Spring Boot and Microservices architecture.
• Build scalable REST APIs, integration services and event-driven components for Global Markets applications.
• Deliver end-to-end Java Full Stack applications supporting trading and financial markets businesses.
• Participate in complete product development lifecycle - architecture, design, development, testing, deployment and production.
• Develop solutions supporting front-to-back trade lifecycle processing.
• Integrate applications with trading platforms, pricing engines, market data providers, risk systems, settlement platforms and downstream systems.
• Build solutions capable of handling high-volume and time-sensitive financial transactions.
• Work directly with Global Markets business stakeholders to understand complex trading requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop reusable components and services supporting multiple financial products and asset classes.
• Modernize legacy financial-market applications into modern Java/Microservices architectures.
• Perform performance tuning, troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis and production support.
• Ensure applications meet banking requirements around security, resiliency, scalability, auditability and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications Experience Requirements

• 6-12+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong hands‑on Java Full Stack development background.
• Strong recent development experience with Java 17/21, Spring Boot and Microservices.
• Proven experience developing large‑scale, high-performance enterprise applications.
• Strong Banking / BFSI technology experience.
• Experience within Global Markets / Capital Markets / Financial Markets is strongly preferred.
• Experience developing applications supporting Trading, Treasury, Risk, Market Data or Post-Trade functions will be highly valued.
