As a Senior Java Microservices Engineer – Cloud & DevOps, you will be working for our client, a leading financial services organization committed to modernizing legacy systems and fostering an agile, cloud-enabled environment. You will help develop, support, and evergreen sophisticated Java applications within a dynamic, international team, supporting impactful business solutions and technological excellence.
Your main responsibilities:
- Actively participate in incident, problem, and service management activities to ensure seamless delivery.
- Evergreen legacy Java applications leveraging Github Co-Pilot, Claude Code, and other cutting-edge tools.
- Collaborate closely with product owners, IT specialists, and architects to analyze requirements and deliver service-oriented solutions.
- Design robust technical solutions using modern agile methodologies, emphasizing CI/CD, DevOps, and cloud technologies.
- Develop observability tools for monitoring, alerting, incident response, and capacity management.
- Support production systems to maintain high availability and performance.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development and operational processes.
You're ideal for this role if you have:
- Over 5 years of experience in developing and supporting distributed Java systems.
- Strong expertise in Java 17, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
- Good knowledge of Java frameworks, DevOps tools, and cloud technologies (GCP, Jenkins, Ansible).
- Proven ability to work across regions while maintaining a global perspective.
- Excellent analytical skills with clear communication of technical issues.
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Experience with Angular, Redis, REST APIs.
- Familiarity with application lifecycle tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and vulnerability remediation tools.
Language required for the role:
- Communicative English proficiency.
