Senior Java Programmer

About the role

PT Pranala Ragam Karya is seeking an experienced Senior Java Programmer to join our dynamic Information and Communication Technology team. This is a full-time position based in Tangerang Regency, Banten. As a Senior Java Programmer, you will take on a leadership role in designing, developing and maintaining robust Java-based applications that drive our business forward. You will be responsible for architecting solutions, mentoring junior developers and ensuring code quality standards are met across all projects. This position is crucial to our technical strategy and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our organisation's technological direction.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop high-quality Java applications using industry best practices and design patterns
• Lead the architecture and technical design of complex Java-based systems and solutions
• Review code submissions from team members and provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality standards
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers, supporting their professional growth and technical development
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, product managers and quality assurance specialists
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, providing support throughout the software development lifecycle
• Optimise application performance and ensure scalability of systems to support business growth
• Participate in technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the development team
• Stay current with emerging Java technologies, frameworks and industry trends
• Contribute to the selection and implementation of development tools and technologies

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in Java software development
• Strong expertise in core Java, object-oriented programming and design patterns
• Proven experience with Java frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate or similar enterprise frameworks
• Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL optimisation
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git
• Knowledge of software development methodologies including Agile and Scrum
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor junior developers
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
• Preferred: Experience with microservices architecture, RESTful API development, Docker and cloud technologies
• Preferred: Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
