Senior Java Software Engineer with GCP/ IBS
Summary
Senior Java Engineer will design, develop, and maintain banking applications using Java 17, GCP, Kubernetes and RDBMS, collaborating in an Agile Scrum team, writing unit and automated tests, and handling large datasets.
For our client from the banking industry, we are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer to join a team responsible for developing and maintaining critical business applications in a modern technology environment.
Your Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain applications within the banking domain
- Collaborate closely with Business Analysts and QA Engineers in a self-organizing Agile (Scrum) team
- Ensure the security and reliability of developed solutions
- Create and maintain unit and automated tests
- Work with large-scale datasets of various structures
- Integrate applications with internal banking systems
- Optimize and enhance existing solutions to meet business and technical requirements
Requirements
- At least 5 years of commercial experience in Java development
- Strong knowledge of Java 17
- Hands-on experience with cloud technologies, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Experience working with Kubernetes
- Solid understanding of RDBMS databases
- Strong knowledge of software development best practices and design principles, including SOLID, DRY, KISS, and Clean Code
- Experience with the full software development lifecycle
- English & Polish proficiency at B2 level.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Apache Cassandra
- Basic knowledge of Python
- Experience working in complex, highly integrated environments
- Understanding of testable software design and automated testing practices
- Experience with data modeling and SQL query optimization
- Knowledge of microservices architecture
Hybrid work model: 2 days from the office, 3 days of home office.
