Senior JDE CNC Consultant

This is a senior technical role supporting complex JD Edwards EnterpriseOne environments across cloud and on-premise infrastructure.
You will take ownership of CNC administration, environment management, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and technical automation.
The role combines hands-on engineering with advanced incident resolution, proactive monitoring, and continuous service improvement.
You will work with enterprise clients and cross-functional technical teams to maintain secure, stable, and highly available systems.
Your expertise will be critical in managing upgrades, deployments, integrations, databases, application servers, and infrastructure dependencies.

Accountabilities
- Deliver senior-level JD Edwards EnterpriseOne CNC administration, including installations, upgrades, tools releases, ESU deployments, environment configuration, and ongoing lifecycle management.
- Diagnose and resolve complex and critical technical issues across EnterpriseOne environments, web and application servers, batch servers, databases, and supporting infrastructure.
- Monitor system health and performance, conduct tuning activities, and proactively identify opportunities to improve stability, availability, and operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement automation, scripting, monitoring, and orchestration solutions to streamline recurring operational activities.
- Perform SQL scripting and database troubleshooting while collaborating with database administrators to maintain data integrity and optimize system performance.
- Support JD Edwards integrations, security administration, provisioning, object management, and established change-control processes.
- Participate in incident management, problem management, root-cause analysis, and proactive maintenance activities for managed-services clients.
- Manage and troubleshoot environments across cloud-hosted and on-premise deployments while supporting high-availability and disaster-recovery requirements.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, operational runbooks, environment diagrams, configuration records, and other materials required for consistent service delivery.
- Collaborate with clients, DBAs, infrastructure teams, application specialists, and other technical stakeholders to resolve issues and deliver effective solutions.
- Operate independently while maintaining clear communication and accountability across multiple priorities and client environments.
- Participate in scheduled on-call rotations to provide 24/7 technical support coverage when required.
- 5–10 years of hands-on experience administering JD Edwards EnterpriseOne CNC environments.
- Strong expertise in EnterpriseOne installation, deployment, upgrade, configuration, and environment-management processes.
- Experience with WebLogic, WebSphere, or comparable J2EE application servers.
- Strong SQL scripting and relational database experience, with Oracle preferred.
- Experience administering and troubleshooting Windows and/or Linux server environments.
- Understanding of network fundamentals, load-balancing concepts, and infrastructure troubleshooting.
- Experience supporting JD Edwards environments hosted in cloud and/or on-premise infrastructure.
- Knowledge of high-availability architectures, disaster recovery, system performance, and environment lifecycle management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly when diagnosing complex issues under time pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical matters clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with globally distributed teams.
- Strong ownership, accountability, organization, and customer-service orientation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- JD Edwards EnterpriseOne CNC 9.2 certification is preferred, or willingness to obtain certification within six months.
- Experience with automation tooling, scripting, orchestration, or monitoring frameworks is a plus.
- Familiarity with OCI, AWS, Azure, or other major cloud platforms is beneficial.
- Exposure to Oracle DBA concepts, backup and recovery workflows, and database performance tuning is advantageous.
- Prior consulting or managed-services experience supporting multiple enterprise clients concurrently is preferred.
