Senior Key Account Manager

The Senior Key Account Manager will drive profitable growth across a portfolio of strategic North American retail partnerships, with a strong focus on major omnichannel accounts.
You will own account strategy, joint business planning, sales performance, forecasting, and executive-level customer relationships.
The role combines commercial leadership with hands-on responsibility for negotiations, promotions, assortment, pricing, and merchandising.
Working closely with Marketing, Finance, Product, Operations, and Training, you will turn customer and market insights into high-impact retail initiatives.
You will use POS, consumer, and market data to identify opportunities, improve performance, and strengthen market share.
This is a highly visible role for an experienced retail leader who can influence senior stakeholders and deliver measurable business results.
You will also contribute to the broader sales organization through mentorship, strategic projects, and cross-functional leadership.
Accountabilities:
- Own strategic retail partnerships through comprehensive account planning, sales execution, joint business planning, and ongoing relationship management.
- Develop and execute strategies that deliver revenue, profitability, and market-share targets, including forecasting, performance management, and P&L ownership.
- Lead complex negotiations covering contracts, commercial terms, promotional investments, and service agreements.
- Build and maintain strong executive relationships with key retail partners and serve as a trusted commercial advisor.
- Prepare and deliver executive business reviews, performance insights, strategic recommendations, and business plans to internal and external stakeholders.
- Analyze market, consumer, and point-of-sale data to guide assortment, pricing, merchandising, promotional, and channel strategies.
- Partner with Marketing, Finance, Product, Operations, Training, and other functions to execute account plans and deliver coordinated retail initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to expand business, improve customer performance, and strengthen long-term strategic partnerships.
- Provide senior-level leadership within the sales organization, including mentoring colleagues and contributing to strategic projects and initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree required; an MBA or other advanced degree is considered an advantage.
- 8+ years of experience managing large omnichannel retail accounts in North America, ideally within the consumer electronics industry.
- Demonstrated experience working with major national retailers, preferably Walmart and/or Best Buy.
- Proven track record of developing and executing retail sales strategies that drive revenue, profitability, and market-share growth.
- Strong expertise in account planning, sales forecasting, commercial negotiations, and P&L management.
- Excellent executive communication, presentation, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience developing senior-level customer partnerships and navigating complex, cross-functional business environments.
- Strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to translate POS, consumer, and market data into actionable commercial strategies.
- Experience with smart home, connected home, consumer technology, or adjacent product categories is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to lead strategic initiatives, collaborate across functions, and mentor other sales professionals.
- 10+ years of relevant sales experience managing top-tier retail accounts is preferred.
- United States compensation: $130,000–$160,000 USD base salary plus commission.
- Canada compensation: $130,000–$160,000 CAD base salary plus commission, where applicable to the position’s location.
