Note: For this position we will consider individuals based in the UK.
You will manage an existing Enterprise customer account in The United Kingdom, taking full ownership of product rollout, executive stakeholder relationships, and account expansion. You work alongside the Strategic Account Director and Solution Engineers to expand your account. The role includes the following responsibilities:
Strategic Relationship, Advisory & Executive Navigation: Build, nurture, and deepen trusted C-suite and director-level partnerships to ensure strategic long-term alignment between customer and gridX (bi-directional). Use your deep knowledge of flexibility and utilities to advise your customer about strategic expansion and proposition design.
Own Account Expansion: Identify and qualify portfolio expansion pathways (retrofits, flex optimization, time-of-use campaigns) within existing accounts to maximize Customer Lifetime Value leveraging your deep, established expertise in the European utility sector, localized energy markets and regulatory frameworks. You will act as a credible, strategic enterprise advisor.
Proactive Customer Health Management: Utilize data-driven customer health scoring matrices (tracking API usage, feature consumption, infrastructure performance) to proactively identify, escalate, and minimize high-stakes churn risks.
Operational Excellence: Ensure operational excellence and thereby scalable rollout success of your customer by leveraging product capabilities as well as gridX best practices and experiences.
- Enterprise Utility Experience: You have extensive experience in strategic, enterprise client-facing roles (such as Senior Enterprise CSM, Senior Account Executive, Key Account Management, or Senior Consultant) and possess deep domain knowledge of traditional energy industries undergoing digital transformation. Utility sector experience is a strict must-have.
- Executive-Level Influence: You feel fully confident navigating, engaging with, and actively influencing senior business partners and corporate stakeholders at the management and C-suite level.
- Value Communication & Storytelling: You possess an exceptional communication style with a knack for technical storytelling and you easily translate complex software solutions into clear, ROI-based business cases for executive buyers.
- Framework Account Governance: You demonstrate strong business mindset tailored to long-term relationship development, customer retention, and strategic expansion within existing enterprise framework agreements, rather than standard greenfield hunting.
- Cross-Functional Teamwork: You thrive in a "team of teams" setup, working in close symmetry with internal technical experts, commercial teams, the strategy department, and the product team to ensure alignment between customer success and product capabilities.
- Data-Driven Proactivity: Taking autonomous initiative is second nature to you; you comfortably leverage data, customer health metrics, and strategic lifecycle planning to maintain account stability and uncover portfolio growth options.
- Enterprise Hub Presence: You are willing to travel roughly once per month to the Netherlands and are excited to establish a regular, physical presence at our enterprise clients' corporate hubs to build deep, multi-threaded relationships.
Bilingual Capability: You are fully fluent in English; German proficiency is nice to have.
- Flexible & mobile working: Work remotely for up to 70 days per year from anywhere within the EU & in selected countries outside of the EU.
- Vacation: Enjoy 30 vacation days plus 0.5 additional days off on both December 24th and December 31st.
- Health & sports:Receive a €30 monthly allowance for Urban Sports Club or EGYM Wellpass and benefit from company health management and mental health support offerings.
