Senior Kubernetes Engineer
Summary
Designs, builds, and secures large-scale Kubernetes platforms across Azure and Google Cloud, writes custom operators/controllers, and leads CI/CD, GitOps, and observability initiatives for a global furniture manufacturer’s cloud infrastructure.
Locations: Tampa-FL, Mesquite-TX, Advance-NC

Primary Job Functions
- Actively design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions across multiple platforms (Azure, Google Cloud) and implement into Kubernetes platforms, and understand the concept of cattle vs pets, but the reality of which is which, why, and how to build solutions around that.
- Design and implement enterprise-scale Kubernetes clusters and supporting infrastructure
- Develop and maintain custom Kubernetes operators and controllers
- Create and optimize CI/CD pipelines for Kubernetes deployments
- Implement security best practices and compliance controls
- Design and implement multi-cluster management solutions
- Architect high-availability and disaster recovery solutions
- Implement service mesh and networking solutions
- Create and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Optimize cluster performance and resource utilization
- Implement observability and monitoring solutions
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to team members
- Design and implement GitOps workflows
- Troubleshoot complex platform issues
- Develop and maintain architecture documentation while actively participating in the implementation
- Create and execute disaster recovery and business continuity solutions
- Implement monitoring and observability solutions across the technology stack
- Actively participate in code reviews and development activities
- Design, implement, and utilize centralized identity and access management solutions

Job Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD, CKS)
- Experience with Kubernetes Operators Framework
- Contribution to open-source Kubernetes projects
- Experience with service mesh technologies
- Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards
- Multi-cloud platform experience
- Experience with large‑scale deployments (100+ nodes) Demonstrated expertise in cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, Kubernetes clouds)
- Hands‑on experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Deep understanding and implementation experience with security frameworks and compliance standards.
- Experience with enterprise integration patterns and their implementation
