About the Role
Bohler’s Nashville, TN office is seeking a Survey Technician to support field data collection and CAD production efforts for projects across the Southeast. In this role, you’ll prepare easements, plats, boundary surveys, and ALTA Land Title surveys while assisting with deed compilation and base mapping. Working closely with Survey Managers, Crew Chiefs, and Project Managers, you’ll help ensure that every survey is accurate, complete, and ready to drive the next phase of development. This role includes in-person CAD drafting at our downtown Nashville office and some travel throughout the states surrounding Tennessee for field data collection.
What You’ll Do
- Lead an independent robotic survey crew and manage all aspects of field work, including boundary, topographic, construction layout, and as-built surveys
- Utilize robotic Trimble total stations and GPS with Trimble Data Collectors to complete precise measurements
- Maintain and perform minor preventive maintenance on field equipment and vehicles
- Oversee corporate credit card, mileage reimbursements, and related reporting
- Plot deeds, establish base sketches, and conduct basic research with minimal oversight
- Convert and compile field data into detailed survey drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Prepare and process easements, plats, boundary, topographic, and ALTA Land Title surveys
- Contribute to project quality and efficiency by maintaining organized, precise documentation
- Comply with all company policies, safety procedures, and standards

What You’ll Bring
- High school diploma or GED required; coursework or degree in surveying, engineering, or related field a plus
· 1+ years of CAD experience and 2+ years of field surveying experience preferred
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and survey data management tools
- Strong math, organizational, and communication skills
- Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy and follow-through
